The 18th edition of the Habitat Film Festival (HFF) will open at the India Habitat Centre here on May 15, bringing together films across 20 languages over 10 days in a wide-ranging showcase of restored classics, contemporary independent cinema, documentaries and short films.
Running through May 24, the annual festival will honour the golden era of parallel cinema while also spotlighting a new wave of digital-first storytellers emerging from across Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Assam and other regions, a press release said.
A special retrospective will pay tribute to the enduring legacy of Ritwik Ghatak. (PTI)
