Hollywood actor Lindsay Lohan has said she is eager to break away from being typecast in romantic comedy roles as she prepares for her upcoming drama series Count My Lies. Speaking to Extra, she said this is her first major scripted TV role and feels “refreshing” because it allows her to explore a different character and challenge herself creatively. Lohan said she has “always” been cast in rom-com roles and now wants to take on varied and more demanding performances. She stars alongside Kit Harington in the series, which is described as a twisty domestic thriller. Reflecting on her career, she also noted that early fame after The Parent Trap was overwhelming and described her experience as a young star in Hollywood as difficult. Lohan said she eventually stepped away from Los Angeles and moved to Dubai in 2014 to find a more balanced and private life. (IANS)
