Shillong: UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh has accused the MUA-II Government of being run by the one-man army of Mukul Sangma.
“In the just concluded Assembly session, the Chief Minister was answering queries on behalf of the Home Minister and other ministers as well. Is this how collective responsibility works?” queried Paul Lyngdoh.
Lyngdoh also pointed to a breach of protocol where the Health and IPR minister AL Hek who was in Delhi also met the Minister of State (MoS) for Home, Kiren Rijiju to brief him on the Garo Hills situation following which Rijiju assured that more central forces would be deployed in the Garo Hills.
“At no point of time in the history of Meghalaya has the chief minister stood up to answer queries on behalf of the Home Minister and other ministers in the Assembly and now we have the Health Minister talking on behalf of the Home Minister, Ms Roshan Warjri,” Paul Lyngdoh said and wondered why the Home Minister Ms Roshan Warjri is shying away from taking responsibility for her department and speaking for herself.
