Action sought against UP, Assam and Uttarakhand CMs at US hearing

NEW DELHI, May 27: Demands for targeted sanctions against the chief ministers of Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were raised during a US hearing on religious freedom and human rights.
According to reports, activist Danish Naik urged US authorities to consider sanctions against Himanta Biswa Sarma, Yogi Adityanath, and Pushkar Singh Dhami. The demand was made during a hearing involving the USCIRF over alleged persecution of minorities. (Agencies)
