Bollywood stars are preparing to celebrate Hema Malini’s 60-year journey in Indian cinema through a special Hema Malini Live-in Concert scheduled for July 10.
Celebrities including Anu Malik, Padmini Kolhapure, Poonam Dhillon and actress Upasana shared heartfelt tributes to the veteran actor-politician.
Padmini Kolhapure recalled her long-standing bond with Hema Malini and praised her humility despite decades of success, calling her the true “Dream Girl” on and off screen.
Anu Malik described Hema as a “great actor and human being” and said he was honoured to be part of the celebrations.
Poonam Dhillon called Hema Malini an ideal and role model for aspiring actors, praising her beauty, grace, dancing skills and dignified personality.
Upasana revealed she had admired Hema since childhood and collected photographs of her and Dharmendra in albums.
The event, conceptualised by RJ Anirudh Chawla, will also honour Dharmendra’s memory.
The concert is being planned as a charity event, with proceeds supporting film industry bodies FWICE and CINTAA.
Earlier this week, Hema received the Padma Vibhushan on behalf of her late husband from President Droupadi Murmu. (ANI)
