Rimlee Debroy has been awarded Ph.D by Jadavpur University, Kolkata, for her thesis entitled “Study of Light Guidance of grating embossed planar waveguides and plasmonic behaviour of metal embedded nano-photonic devices for precision sensing” under the guidance of Dr. S.K. Bhadra of CGCRI. She is the daughter of Sukla Debroy and Makhan Debroy and daughter-in-law of Sumita Debroy.

Mayur Gurung, a student of Sankardev College, Shillong, secured first class seventh position with 76 % marks in the B.Sc. (Mathematics Honours) Examination 2014 conducted by NEHU. He is the son of Bhim Bahadur Gurung and Seeta Gurung, residents of Jhalupara.
