Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for Elle, the upcoming prequel to the hit film franchise Legally Blonde. The eight-episode series follows Elle Woods as a high school student in 1995, years before her journey to Harvard. The story explores Elle’s teenage life, including friendships, romance, family relationships and personal challenges that help shape her into the confident character audiences know from the original films. A key focus of the series is her close bond with her mother as they navigate life’s ups and downs together. Created by Laura Kittrell and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, the series stars Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods. Produced by Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, Elle premieres on July 1 and has already been renewed for a second season. (IANS)

Hollywood star Jason Momoa exits Sony Pictures’ Helldivers

Hollywood star Jason Momoa has reportedly quit PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures’ upcoming film adaptation of the acclaimed video games Helldivers. According to the entertainment news outlet Deadline, Sony Pictures is searching for another actor to take on Momoa’s role in the film, based on Arrowhead Game Studios’ video game franchise. There is no information on the reason for Momoa’s exit. The film is directed by Justin Lin and is set to release on November 10, 2027. The plot details are kept under wraps. The game released in 2015. As part of the elite unit called the Helldivers, players must work together to protect Super Earth and defeat the enemies in an intense intergalactic war. The sequel, “Helldivers 2”, released in 2024 and sold over 12 million units across PlayStation 5 and PC after the launch. Helldivers is produced by Hutch Parker alongside PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Lin under his banner Perfect Storm Entertainment. The film was announced in 2025. (PTI)

Shraddha Kapoor teases work mode with playful ‘attendance lagao’ post

Shraddha Kapoor, on Tuesday, gave a glimpse of her fun side as she hinted at “work mode” with a playful social media post saying “attendance lagao.” Taking to Instagram, the ‘Stree 2’ actress shared her candid photos and wrote, “Office wale attendance lagao.” In the images, Shraddha could be seen smiling while posing for the camera. Dressed casually in a purple top and blue trousers, the actress struck happy poses. In one of the images, she is seen sitting on a couch with coffee in one hand, while her pet sits on her lap. Salman Khan tears up at funeral of his close friend

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who earlier lost his cool at the paparazzi, was seen getting emotional at the funeral of his friend, Kumod Raney on Tuesday. Salman was seen arriving at the funeral venue surrounded by security and close associates. The actor looked grief-stricken as he stood with folded hands and tried to hold himself together. At one point, Salman appeared to break down, leaving fans emotional after the visuals surfaced online. Kumud Rane was said to be a close family friend of the Khans. Salman’s mother Salma Khan, his stepmother Helen, brother Sohail Khan and sister Arpita Khan Sharma were also seen attending the funeral to pay their final respects. Actress Malaika Arora was also seen at arriving to pay her respects. (IANS)
