SHILLONG, June 14: The Meghalaya Taekwondo Association (MTA) has successfully concluded its 6th Black Belt Examination 2026, with a record 113 candidates appearing for the test.
The examination was held at 56 GTC, Happy Valley, in East Khasi Hills under the supervision of MTA vice-president Samarjyoti Borgohain and general secretary Jadumoni Singh.
Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) vice-president Sukun Singh attended the event as an observer and interacted with the participants, offering guidance and encouragement.According to the MTA, this year’s examination witnessed the highest number of registrations ever recorded for a black belt examination in Meghalaya.
The association also said that parents and guardians expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination, which was held in a secure and well-managed environment.
Meanwhile, the MTA will organise a Referee Seminar on June 27 and 28 and has invited eligible candidates to participate.
The association has also called upon clubs, associations and individual practitioners to register with the MTA ahead of the state selection trials for the National Games 2027.
