SHILLONG, June 14: The CRU Shillong District organised the CRU Premier League, bringing together teams from medical representatives, hospitals and stockists in a spirited cricket tournament.
A total of eight teams from the Medical Representative (MR) category and six teams from the Hospital and Stockiest category participated in the competition.
In the MR category, Comrade XI emerged champions after defeating Pitch Predators in the final. In the Hospital and Stockiest category, First Fortune claimed the title, while Shifa Drug Distributor finished runners-up.
Individual honours saw Ayan Deb being named Best Bowler, Sumon Chanda winning the Best Catch award, Manash Kalita bagging the Best Batsman trophy and Mridul Das being adjudged Man of the Series.
