Sunny Deol celebrates 25 years of Gadar

Actor Sunny Deol has celebrated 25 years of his iconic film Gadar, thanking audiences for their enduring love and support.
Directed by Anil Sharma and released on June 15, 2001, the film starred Deol alongside Ameesha Patel.
It told the story of Sikh truck driver Tara Singh, who falls in love with Sakina and overcomes intense political and social barriers to reunite with his family.
Deol shared nostalgic photos on Instagram and expressed gratitude, saying the film and the character of Tara Singh have remained close to audiences’ hearts for decades.
Gadar became a massive box office success, earning over Rs 133 crore globally and emerging as India’s highest grosser at the time of release.
Its sequel, Gadar 2, released in 2023, also performed strongly, earning over Rs 600 crore worldwide and reviving the franchise’s popularity. (PTI)
