Director Christopher Nolan is set to visit India for the first-ever Indian premiere of one of his films, The Odyssey, as part of the movie’s global promotional tour.
Nolan will be accompanied by his producer wife Emma Thomas and lead actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland, who portray Odysseus and his son Telemachus in the film.
Mumbai has been selected as an official stop on the global premiere circuit, joining cities such as London, Paris and New York City.
The Indian premiere will be held at PVR Icon IMAX: Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai ahead of the film’s worldwide release on July 17.
Adapted from Homer’s classic epic, The Odyssey chronicles Odysseus’ decade-long journey home after the fall of Troy.
The film is the first feature ever shot entirely using IMAX cameras and features an ensemble cast including Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya and Charlize Theron. (PTI)
