Raipur, June 21 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to arrive in Raipur on Sunday by a regular commercial flight. He will proceed directly from the airport to the training camp venue at Abhanpur, where he is expected to interact with party leaders and address the ongoing organisational training programme.

Following the event, Gandhi will depart for New Delhi on a regular flight at 6:40 p.m. The Chhattisgarh Congress training camp for all district presidents commenced on Saturday at Abhanpur.

The multi-day camp is being organised by the Training Department of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and is seen as a crucial exercise to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of upcoming political challenges.

During the camp, district presidents are receiving comprehensive training in organisational activities and ground-level functioning.

The programme includes practical components such as field visits, volunteer work, and spending a night in villages to gain first-hand experience of local issues.

Participants are also being provided with expert guidance on various current affairs and political strategies to enhance their effectiveness at the booth level.

Party sources described the camp as highly significant for bolstering the Congress organisation from the grassroots upwards. The focus is on building a robust cadre capable of effective grassroots mobilisation and better connect with the public.

Senior Congress leaders have already arrived in Raipur to oversee the training. Party state in-charge Sachin Pilot, along with in-charge secretaries S.K. Sampat, Zarita Laitphalang, and Vijay Jangir, reached the capital to participate in the programme.

AICC coach Sachin Rao has arrived with his team to conduct specialised training sessions for the district presidents.

All district presidents of Chhattisgarh have gathered at the Abhanpur training venue, marking a major organisational effort by the state unit.

The camp aims to equip party leaders with the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to strengthen the Congress party at every level of the political hierarchy.

This visit by Rahul Gandhi is expected to inject fresh energy into the Chhattisgarh Congress ahead of future electoral battles. The leadership is hopeful that the rigorous training and strategic guidance provided during the camp will translate into stronger organisational performance and improved electoral outcomes in the state.
