Huma Qureshi plays silent assassin in Baby Do Die Do trailer

Actor Huma Qureshi plays a deaf and mute hitwoman in the trailer of her new film Baby Do Die Do. Directed by Nachiket Samant, the film and also features Sikandar Kher, Chunky Panday, Rachit Singh, Marudha Shekhawat, Vidya Malvade, Arun Kushwah and Himanshu Malik, among others. The trailer of the film, which Qureshi shared on social media on Monday, shows the actor as Baby, an ordinary, deaf-and-mute NGO worker and an assassin, who is haunted by the voice of her dead sister. When a mission goes wrong, she must face betrayals, buried traumas, and uncover the truth about her own identity. The actor will also feature in Yash-starrer Toxic. She essays the role of Elizabeth in the film. (PTI)

Toy Story 5 records highest weekend opening with over $300mn

The fifth installment in the Toy Story franchise has turned to be the highest first weekend grosser as it earned over USD 300 million at the global box office. The film is directed by Andrew Stanton, with McKenna Harris serving as the co-director. It released on June 19. According to the entertainment news outlet Variety, the film earned USD 312 million at the global box office. It ranks as the second-highest animated opening weekend in Hollywood history, behind 2018’s Incredibles 2. The film featured Tom Hanks in the role of Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, and John Ratzenberger as Hamm. The first film released in 1995 and revolved around Sheriff Woody, a pull-string cowboy doll, whose status as his owner Andy’s favourite toy is threatened by the arrival of Buzz Lightyear, a flashy, arrogant space ranger who initially thinks he is a real hero. Filmmaker Karan Johar was spotted at Mumbai airport travelling with his children, Yash and Roohi. On Monday, Karan was seen in a casual look as he made his way through the airport terminal with his children. In a video, the filmmaker is seen stepping out of his car while his children, Yash and Roohi, arrive in a separate vehicle. He was also seen shielding them from the paparazzi as they entered the airport premises. For the outing, Karan opted for a tracksuit paired with shoes and completed his look with stylish sunglasses. He was also carrying a small bag and some files in his hand. (IANS)
