Shillong doc conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award

SHILLONG, June 26: Dr. RS Thangkhiew, Founder and Managing Director of Supercare Hospital, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the North-East Liver Foundation Society during the 6th North-East Medicon 2026 held in Guwahati recently.
According to a statement here, the conference had brought together medical experts from across the region.
The award recognises Dr. Thangkhiew’s decades of service to the medical profession and his contributions toward improving healthcare access in Meghalaya and the wider Northeast.
Commenting on the honour, Supercare Hospital Chief Operating Officer Damien Marwein said the recognition is a significant moment for the state’s healthcare community.
