JH HITO leaders resign en masse

JOWAI, July 1: Several leaders and members of the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) Jaintia Hills have resigned from the organisation.
In a formal communication to the HITO Central Body on June 30, the group—led by Jaintia Hills unit president Burom Dkhar—announced their decision to withdraw without citing specific reasons.
Other outgoing leaders include assistant secretary Presmi Suting, sports secretary Fasterwell Phawa, and organising secretary Eddy Jefferson Tang, along with members of the Ksehrynshang Circle and the Lakaseiñ Unit.
Despite their departure, the leaders extended their best wishes to the Central Body, expressing hope that the organisation would continue to effectively serve the public.
