10 meritorious students from various city schools feted

SHILLONG, July 5: Vivekananda Sangha on Saturday organised a ceremony to honour 10 meritorious students from various schools in the city for their academic achievements in 2026.
The programme was attended by former DHS Dr Aman Warr, Oakland Bivar Road Civic Welfare Committee secretary Jitendra Kumar Das, and Jail Road Boys’ School teacher Ashok Dhar. The guests were welcomed with traditional Uttoriyo by the organisers.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Warr congratulated the students and encouraged them to pursue excellence with integrity while working toward the service of the community.
The students were presented with Uttoriyo, certificates of appreciation, cash awards, and mementos.
The felicitation highlighted Vivekananda Sangha’s ongoing commitment to recognising academic success and motivating young students to contribute positively to society.
