(Contd from P-3) The victim was accompanied by one Faruk Hussain of Dhubri, when a group of suspected militants stopped their vehicle somewhere between Baromile and Kherapara, near Dalu, along the Indo-Bangladesh border in West Garo Hills.

The victim has been identified as Ansar Ali (35) of Bidyapara in Dhubri, Assam.

Sources informed that the abductors had come in a black Alto car and a motorbike.
