Stolen bikes found in WGH; three arrested

TURA, July 14: The police have arrested three persons and recovered three stolen motorcycles following a series of operations across West Garo Hills. While the first two arrests were made on July 11, a third accomplice was apprehended on Tuesday morning.
The crackdown began on the night of July 7, when a naka checking team from Tikirikilla PS intercepted two men on an unregistered Bajaj Platina at Tikirikilla Market. The individuals, identified as Minith Marak of Teksagre and Jaksram G Momin of Raksamgre, were taken into custody for questioning.
During the investigation, police recovered a second motorcycle—a Bajaj Pulsar (AS-21M-7462)—which was found to have been stolen from Dadenggre. A case was registered at Dadenggre PS, and both suspects were handed over for further legal action.
In a follow-up operation this morning, Dadenggre police arrested a third suspect, Baiti A Sangma of Tebronggre. A third stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession at Rongmasugre. Investigation into the vehicle theft racket is ongoing.
