Assault
One 22-year-old male individual reported that on July 10 at about 3.30 pm, unidentified persons assaulted him, wrongfully restrained and robbed him of an unspecified amount of cash at a place near Old Anjalee Petrol Pump, Shillong. Reportedly, later the unidentified miscreants released him at Malki, Shillong.
On July 10, police received information that three unidentified individuals assaulted one male resident of Lower Mawprem, Shillong, in the locality. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital.
A woman lodged a complaint that on July 5 around 9:30 am, one individual of Nongkhroh village, WJH, attacked her with a wooden stick and also struck her with a stone at the village.
Stabbed
Pyndenumsaw village secretary H Marweiñ lodged a complaint that on July 14 around 6.40 am, one Bailing Wahlang (63) attacked and stabbed one Sniti Wahlang (56) at the village. The woman was shifted to Mawkyrwat Civil Hospital, where the attending MO declared her brought dead.
Break-in
On July 15 around 7.30 am, one Sopon Ch Sangma verbally reported that unknown miscreant(s) broke into his shop at Chandmari Bazar, Tura (WGH) and stole cigarettes and coins.
Sumit Sunar lodged a complaint that during a site inspection on July 2, several Airtel equipment valued around Rs. 4,32,583 were found stolen from a mobile tower at Laitpynter, Synrangkaban, EKH.
On July 14 morning, police received information that unknown miscreant(s) broke into six shops belonging to six different individuals located at Seven Sisters Falls (viewpoint), Mawblang, Mawsmai, EKH, and stole one pocket watch, readymade garments, ladies’ handbag and grocery items from five shops.

Impersonation
A complaint was lodged that on July 13 at about 3.10 pm, one Om Vir Singh (29) of Uttar Pradesh was detained at Eastern Air Force Command, Upper Shillong, allegedly for impersonating as an Army official.
Fraud
A female resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on July 11, three individuals, viz. Uttam Behera, Ganesh Pawar and Charan Khilari persuaded and convinced her to join a company ‘QNET’ with a promise of high returns and in the process cheated her of Rs. 3.4 lakh.
Cattle missing
PG Momin lodged a complaint that on July 13 morning, three heads of cattle were found missing from her cowshed at Phlangkaruh village, EKH. The complainant suspected that the cattle have been stolen by Bangladeshi nationals.
