SHILLONG, July 23: The Education Cell of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Tuesday felicitated three students from Meghalaya for their success in the JEE Advanced 2026 and for securing admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Richbhalang Kharshiing, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 15 in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, was honoured for gaining admission to the Computer Science and Engineering programme at IIT Bombay. Dasannaki Bareh Lyndem, who secured AIR 281 in the ST category, was admitted to the Mathematics and Computing programme at IIT Indore. The third student, David Bajop Christopher Gatphoh, secured AIR 461 in the ST category and earned a seat in the Electrical Engineering programme, also at IIT Indore.
In a statement, the KSU expressed pride in the achievers for bringing recognition to the state and the Khasi community. “We are delighted and proud to felicitate these students who have brought honour and recognition to their families, the state, and the Khasi community. We commend their dedication and hard work and hope their achievements will inspire many other students to strive for excellence and pursue higher education with determination,” the KSU stated.
