SHILLONG, July 25: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Saturday awarded certificates to students who completed the SPARK Meghalaya programme at a ceremony held at Nongtalang Government Higher Secondary School.
The event, which focused on the role of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, was attended by the West Jaintia Hills DSEO, the Assistant Commissioner, and the CEO of Avenues.
Speaking at the event, Rymbui urged students to embrace creativity and problem-solving as vital skills for the future.
Informing that the SPARK initiative is transforming classrooms into spaces for exploration and practical application, the education minister noted that the government is committed to digital literacy and experiential education to improve the quality of schooling across Meghalaya.
A major feature of the programme included student demonstrations of various projects. Using innovative models, students explained how the STEM skills they acquired have influenced their learning and daily lives.
