 SHILLONG: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills J Lyngdoh has informed that Levy Sugar for the month of August 2011 has been released and is being distributed through the respective Fair Price Shops at the scale of 650 grams per head per month at the rate of Rs 13.50 to Rs 14 per kg.

The Whole-meal atta for the month June is also being distributed at the scale of 1225 grams per head at the rate of Rs 7.80 per kg.

Further, the DC informed that APL, BPL and AAY quota of rice for the month of July has been released and will be distributed through the respective Fair Price Shops.

The scale of issue of APL (Regular) quota is 2.600 grams per head per month at the rate of Rs 8.80 to Rs 9 per kg, BPL (Regular) quota at the scale of 35 kgs per card at the rate of Rs 6.15 per kg and AAY (regular) quota at the scale of 35 kgs per card at the rate of Rs 3 per kg.

Any non-supply or overcharging of rate and supply of inferior quality of rice by the Fair Price Shops dealers should be brought to the notice of the DC immediately to avoid any kind of suppression of the under privilege lots.
