Karachi: Indian challenge in the second Asian 6 Red Snooker Championship ended here Tuesday with Rahul Sachdev losing his pre-quarter-final to World Champion Hussain Vafaei Ayouri of Iran 6-3.

Earlier, Kamal Chawla, Ketan Chawla and Varun Madan failed to qualify for the knock-outs, leaving Sachdev the lone Indian hope.

However, Ayouri, who is a double World Champion in both 15 and 6 Red formats, proved just too good for the Indian.

The Indians will now prepare for the two-day team championship that commences August 21. (IANS)
