Vehicle theft cases on the rise in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Several cases of vehicle thefts have been reported in the State in the past few days.

The latest case relates to the theft of a Bolero Camper (ML-05J-6982) which was parked at Golf Link, Mawpun, Shillong between August 23 and 24. Odimar Syiem Sad has lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar Police Station in this regard.

In a similar incident, unknown miscreants stole a Bolero (ML-05G-1008) from Calvary Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong on August 24 morning. Bashan Desmond M Diengdoh has lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah Police Station.

Vehicle theft was also reported in Khliehriat West where unknown miscreants stole a Bolero (ML-05C-2979) from the residence of one Hermon Dkhar.

On August 21 around 8.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one Mahindra Pick-up (ML-07A-3348) belonging to Phillip R Momin from a parking lot at Chisobibra Market (EKH). Unknown miscreants stole a truck (ML-04A-8234) from a parking lot at Star Cements, Lumshnong (EJH) on August 20.
