EJH firing: CBI inquiry demanded

SHILLONG: The All Jaintia Youth Welfare Organisation on Tuesday demanded that a CBI inquiry or a judicial inquiry be made into the recent firing incident in which two people were killed in East Jaintia Hills.

In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Mukul Sangma here, the organization also demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the bereaved families besides free education to the children of the deceased and government jobs to the members of the victims’ families.
