Career guidance
The Shillong YMCA in collaboration with the Meghalaya Government will conduct a special programme for the youths on career guidance at Secretariat from October 10-11 at the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Head quarters near Pine Mount.
Cleanliness campaign
As part of the cleanliness awareness campaign, the Pohkseh Seng Kynthei along with the Health and Sanitation Committee and Volunteer Defence Party will organize a drawing and painting competition for various age groups at Glakyn Higher Secondary School, Pohkseh on October 11 at 10 am. A training programme on how to turn kitchen waste into fertilizer would be conducted by Carmo Naronha of Bethany Society.

Workshop
The office of the District Child Protection Officer, District Protection Unit, Jaintia Hills District, Jowai organized a one-day workshop on ‘Child Rights and Protection” for the heads of the institutions of secondary, upper primary and lower primary schools in Jowai at Thomas Jones Synod College on Thursday.
