Mukul leaves for Delhi

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma left for Delhi on Tuesday to brief Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the status of flood situation in the state. An official source said that he will submit a detailed memorandum highlighting the loss the state incurred due to the recent flood. The Government is projecting over Rs 1500 crore and will demand the same amount from the Centre. As many as 66 people lost their lives besides loss to property in the worst ever flood situation in the state.
