SHILLONG: The Department of Art & Culture in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel will organize a musical event titled A Night of Jazz at U Soso Tham Auditorium on October 21. An Israeli Jazz band – Shai Maestro Trio will enthrall the audience during the event. The band consists of Shai Maestro on the piano, Ziv Ravitz on the drums and Jorge Roeder on the bass. The event aims to showcase the strong relation between India and Israel and also the cultural ties the two countries share.
Local talents like 4th Element, Natalie Syiem &Lamphang Syiemlieh will also perform in the event.
A Night of Jazz will also encourage students in Meghalaya in the field of music by (Contd in P-10)

In order to encourage the youth of Meghalaya, an exhibition of the works of young, local, amateur painters, sketch artists and photographers will also be organised.
The artwork will be put up in a gallery outside the venue for interested buyers and art lovers to have a glimpse.
