The Meghalaya Rural Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute, Nongstoin, conducted its first training programme on the subject of pig and poultry farming. The programme was attended by 26 trainees from different parts of West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills.
Awareness
The Institutional Biotech Hub of Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai, organized an awareness programme recently at Rymbai Presbyterian Higher Secondary School on the subject of biodiversity and its conservation. Several students participated in the programme.

Nehru Yuva Kendra, Nongstoin, in collaboration with NSS Unit of Nongstoin College will celebrate National Integration Day on Nov 19 at Nongstoin College Auditorium Hall. The aims and objectives of this programme are to promote national integration, install a sense of national unity and social cohesion in the young people and promote the construction and uses of toilets for cleanliness. Resource persons will deliver speeches on the topic of national integration and the importance of using toilets.
