Moderate quake in Indo-Myanmar border region

Imphal: A moderate intensity quake, measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale, was felt in the Indo-Myanmar border region, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)said.

The tremors were felt at 2344 hrs last night in Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Nagaland in India and at Tamu, Kale in Myanmar.

No loss damage or casualty was reported.The quake having focal depth of 33 km was epicentered at 23.8 degrees North Latitude and 93.5 degrees East Longitude. (UNI)
