‘Zenith music’ irks Motinagar residents

SHILLONG: The noise pollution by way of playing music through loud speakers from Bracken Hill Bungalow, the official residence of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Zenith Sangma at Motinagar on Saturday night irked the nearby residents.

One of the affected persons had also called up the cell phone of the officer in-charge of Laitumkhrah police station, but in vain.

When contacted, the land line of Laitumkhrah police station was off the hook and the minister was also not available for comments as his cell phone was switched off . Social activist Angela Rangad, who stays near the official residence of the minister, informed that the music with loud noise went beyond 10 pm and only stopped at 11. 30pm.

Rangad said she tried to call the Laitumkhrah police station to lodge a formal complaint, but the phone was off the hook.
