Tennis Tournament

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Tennis Tournament under the Chief Minister’s hundred days festival is underway at The Shillong Club Tennis Courts from December 10-13, in Men’s Singles, there are 39 participants while in Men’s Doubles 18 are entries, Women’s Singles 10 participants in Women’s Doubles 6 are entries. In U-16 Boys category, there 7 participants, participants from Shillong, Jowai, Tura, Sohiong, Nongstoin and other parts of Meghalaya will perform, final will be held on Saturday followed by prize distribution at 7 pm.

Shillong Games 2014; Basketball commences

SHILLONG: The Shillong Games 2014 finally saw the commencement of both Boy’s and Girl’s basketball on Thursday at Polo Ground. Earlier, R. A. Lyngdoh, Vice President of the Shillong Sports Association was present before commencement of basketball at the courts. Following are the results for Basketball:

Softball Tournament

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Soft Ball Association (MSBA) will organize Meghalaya State Open Softball Tournament 2014 at the 2nd Ground, Polo on December 16 to 18. The association had conducted coaching camp in 6 places, Shillong, Jowai, Umsning, Nongstoin, Mawkyrwat, and Khliehriat, with a good responds from the New Players. MSBA will organize at the same time the Association is Happy to inform that 7 teams both Men & Women Team (i.e) Shillong, Jowai, Umsning, Nongstoin, Mawkyrwat, Mawsynram and Khliehriat Will participate in the Tournament.
