Members of AASU and AATTSA along with freedom fighters, martyrs and their family members staging a protest dharna demanding facilities for them which subsequent governments of the state have been promising at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district of Assam on Tuesday 20th September 2011. It may be mentioned that 15 freedom fighters had sacrificed their lives for our freedom, on September 20, 1942 in a police firing at Dhekiajuli while trying to hoist the tri-colour atop the Police Station there, during the historic Quit India Movement.
