Host of celebs to descend on Shillong

SHILLONG: A host of celebrities are converging in Shillong to usher in the festive season at the India Today ‘Mind Rocks’ Youth Summit to be held on December 23 at the State Convention Centre in the premises of Hotel Pinewood. The event is being sponsored by the tourism department of the Government of Meghalaya.
Former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azaharuddin, actors Vivek Oberoi and Imran Khan, former Miss India and actor Neha Dhupia, Bollywood singer Papon and Rabbi Shergill along with Olympic boxer Shiva Thapa and others have confirmed their participation to motivate the youths of Meghalaya in particular and Northeast in general.
Several more known and acclaimed personalities from various fields are expected to confirm their participation so as to make ‘Mind Rocks’ a truly memorable experience for the youths of this region.
The celebrities will freely interact with youngsters, sharing their success stories and taking questions from audience on a range of issues-politics, economy, sports, literature, music and films, with the aim to motivate the youths to aim further and achieve their goals.
Notably, the seventh edition of the eagerly awaited event is coming to the seven sisters where youngsters will get a chance to meet and interact with the country’s biggest icons from several fields.
In its own signature style, Mind Rocks Shillong will have exhilarating performances by talented musical artistes that have been handpicked by an expert panel keeping in mind the rich and exuberant musical palate that exists in the region.
The event will be telecasted live by the TV Today Network that owns Aaj Tak, Headlines Today, Tez and Delhi Aaj Tak.
