Attack on Assam church condemned

SHILLONG : All India Congress Committee Minority Department’s Observer for Meghalaya, Nagaland and  Mizoram Rejaul Karim Laskar has strongly condemned the attack on a church in Assam by unidentified miscreants on the June 20.
It is may be noted that on June 20, unidentified miscreants vandalised the Catholic Cathedral Church of Chapaguri in Chirang district of Assam.
Laskar has demanded a transparent and impartial investigation to find out the miscreants behind the attack. The All India Congress Committee Minority Department’s Observer also called upon Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to ensure safety of every section of society in Assam including the religious minorities and their places of worship.
