GNLA workers held by Assam police

SHILLONG: Police in Assam arrested five persons, including GNLA workers who had planned an abduction in an area under South Salmara district. According to police, the five kidnappers identified as Biraj D Sangma, Chengkal Marak, Sengbath D Sangma, Chanang T Sangma and their driver Makbul Islam were arrested from Hat Singimari Super Market on Saturday. Their plan was to adduct a businessman. A car, gun, ammunition and mobile phones were seized from them.
