Taekwondo association to conduct exams
SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Taekwondo Association will be conducting the ‘Black Belt’ examinations and ‘Dan’ promotion on August 11 and 12 under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India at Ampara Hall, Umroi Cantt, Ri-Bhoi.

Futsal association formed in WJH
SHILLONG: The Futsal Association of West Jaintia Hills (FAWJH) was formed on the August 9, 2018 with an aim to promote futsal in the district. The association was formed in the presence of Brightstar Langbang, President Futsal Association of Meghalaya (FAM) and Fieldingstar Sun, Treasurer FAM. Newly elected FAWJH President Dauniwanchwa Phawa said that futsal would help in producing many footballers in the district. Phawa also urged upon different stakeholders including the elders and youths of the district to support FAWJH. The association will also be affiliated to FAM.

Meghalaya Baby League 2018
Shillong: The Meghalaya Baby League 2018 will witness another day of inter-conference matches here on Saturday. Twenty matches will be held at two venues – Third Ground and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium– between eight teams. The 12 participating teams in MBL 2018 have been divided into two conferences. Kickstart FCC Rhinos, Langsning Greenergy Lions, Mawlatbah SC Hawks, ENE Falcons, Unified Gorkha Gators and Little Star Clouded Leopards are in the Western Conference, while Sunnydale School Doves, Touchline NE Cubs, Nongthymmai GC Scorpions, Nongtrai Cheetahs, Wahlakhiat Bulls and JNS Jaguars are in the Eastern Conference. On Saturday, the Gators will take on the Cubs at 9:30am with the Jaguars and Falcons also beginning their games at the same time. The Greenergy Lions vs Bulls games will then kick off at 12 noon followed by the Doves taking on the Rhinos at 1:00pm. MBL 2018 is the joint initiative of Tata Trusts, the Meghalaya Football Association and All India Football Federation.
