SHILLONG: Former West Shillong MLA and senior UDP leader Paul Lyngdoh has asserted that the loss in 2018 Assembly elections does not mean that his political career is over.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Lyngdoh said he is quite optimistic that his political career has not been written off.
“The last word on my political career has not been said,” he said while admitting that his loss in the election was a setback.
When asked if he is planning to contest the MDC or Lok Sabha elections, the former MLA said that he is in constant touch with party leaders in the constituency and they would take a call together. Lyngdoh lost the 2018 Assembly elections to Congress candidate Mohendro Rapsang from West Shillong constituency.
