Programme
A one-day special interactive programme organised by the Office of the Sub-Divisional Public Relations Officer, Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, was held at Pamtbuh Upper Primary School on Tuesday. During the interactive session, resource persons from the medical department and the ICDS project Amlarem Block, highlighted on numerous schemes available with their respective Government Departments for implementation for the benefit of the people.

World Rabies Day
Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association, East Khasi Hills District Unit will observe the World Rabies Day on Friday under the theme ‘Rabies: Share the message, save a life’. To mark this day, there will be a vaccination camp against rabies dogs in and around Mawryngkneng starting at 9 am followed by an awareness programme on “Zoonotic importance of rabies” and a quiz competition for students at the Conference Hall, Mawryngkneng C&RD Block at 12 pm.

Meeting
Meeting of the past pupil of Malki Presbyterian Secondary School will be held on the school premises at 2 pm on Saturday to discuss the activities/programmes of the quasquicentennial Jubilee celebration of the school.

Rice released
The DC (Supply), West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai has informed that that the Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY), Priority House Hold (PHH) and Non-NFSA quota of rice for the month of September, 2018 and sugar for the month of January, February and March 2018 along with the balance stock from April to September 2017 quota only for urban areas has been released and is available at all the fair price shops.

IGNOU
IGNOU informed that the last date for submission of assign-ments for December 2018, TEE has been extended up to November 10.

Hindi workshop
A one-day Hindi workshop was organised for the employees of NEEPCO with faculty assistance of Rakesh Ranjan Mishra, Senior Translator, O/o the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Shillong at NEEPCO, Corporate Office in the city on Wednesday. The programme was attended by the presence of Anil Kumar, Executive Director (HR) and B.K. Tigga, Sr. Manager (HR).

Trekking routes
The Youth Hostels Association of India, Meghalaya Branch, which will organise a trek on October 20, has made changes in its route. The new route is from Syntuksiar to Ialong via Chyrmang and Siangblai.
