James Sangma inaugurates public library, E-service at Dadenggre

TURA: Meghalaya Home Minister James K Sangma on Thursday afternoon inaugurated the Dadenggre Public Library and Launching of the e-Services in Dadengre Sub-Division.

West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, Dr Raghavendra Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dadenggre Sub-Division, other officials and people of the area were present at the function.

Addressing the gathering the Home Minister spoke about the evolution of technology and its impact on the people of the region. He said that the opening of this library would be beneficial to the youth especially educated youth of the region and for those students who would be appearing for different examinations in their future career. He further urged the students to make use of the things available work hard to achieve their desired goal in life.

The Minister also distributed certificates for the successful implementation and achieving 100 per cent for Measles rubella Vaccination Campaign by the Health Department during the function.

It may be mentioned that the Public Library is the brainchild of Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division and the books in the library are pooled in from various sources namely the Home Minister James K Sangma, well wishers and other donors. Sarvahitey, a Delhi based NGO will also be donating an additional 1000 books to the library under its initiative “Project Paper Bridge”.
