Canara Bank opens extension counter

The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, Mr J. Tayeng, formally opened the first extension counter of the Canara Bank in Shillong at Lady Keane College on February 24. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the students to inculcate the habit of saving.

Among others who spoke on the occasion were Mr R.V. Pai, Deputy General Manager of the Bank, and Dr. C.M. Brahma, and number of the governing body of the college.
