Centre consults on successor

The Centre has so far sounded three names to the State Govt for consideration of appointment as Governor of Assam and Meghalaya.

Sources said that the three problems were Mr Bhisma Narian Singh. MP Rajya Sabha. Mr Ram Niwas Mirdha, Union Minister for Irrigation , and Krishnaswamy, Rao Sahib Union Secretary for Cabinet Affairs.
