Earthquke hits China

BEIJING: A 5.2 magnitude earthquake rocked a largely Tibetan region in northwest China on Sunday, the official Xinhua news agency reported, more than a year after a 7.1 magnitude tremor killed 2,700 people in the same area.

It was not immediately known if there were any casualties or damage after the quake with its epicentre in Nangqian county at a depth of 10 km, Xinhua cited the China Earthquake Networks Centre as saying. (PTI)
