CSWO for unconditional release of Akhil Gogoi

Shillong: The CSWO has demanded unconditional release of the arrested RTI activist Akhil Gogoi. According to a release issued by CSWO president, Agnes Kharshiing on Tuesday, “the arrest is a cowardice act by those in governance who forget that they are just mere government servants who should be seeing to the welfare of the people of the state. Gogoi was arrested in Guwahati recently. “This shows that they are trying to suppress the voice of the poor common people and this is also an act of dictatorship”, said Kharshiing.
