Lalit Kala Akademi (The National Akademi of Art), New Delhi organised a Painting Workshop drawing artists from across the North-eastern states at Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong. The workshop concluded on Saturday.
Road mishaps
Dippu Paul (23) suffered injuries when the motorbike he was riding skidded and was hit by a truck at Ladsharai, Ri-Bhoi district on Friday evening. He was admitted at the Shillong Civil Hospital. Emmanuel Sangma (24) fell off his bike after it skidded at 12th Mile, Tura on Saturday afternoon. He was admitted at Mission Hospital, Tura.
Van Mahotsav
Van Mahotsav will be observed in NEPA Campus on July 5. A tree plantation programme is being held from Friday with an aim to plant 5000 saplings.
Medical camp
The Clinical research Unit, Homoeopathy, Shillong under the Dept. of Ayush will conduct a free homoeopathy medical camp at Ganesh Mandir, Mawbah, Shillong on Tuesday from 10 am to 3 pm.
