Three die in road mishap

 Shillong: Three persons died on the spot while two others sustained injuries when a dumper (ML 04 A 3814) on its way to Jowai had a head on collision with an Alto (AS 11 E 7815) at Mawryngkneng on Thursday.

The Alto was on its way to Guwahati.

The two of deceased are identified as Jaya Raha (38) and Anisha Raha (10) of Guwahati. The identity of the driver is yet to be ascertained. The injured are identified as Ram Shylla (18) and Lakhon Shylla (18).

Meanwhile, the body of one Shyam Chettri (40), a resident of Mawbah (Bara Pathar), was found on GS Road here on Friday.

Family members of the deceased informed that Chettri was a TB patient and has been suffering for several years.
