Employee dies after falling from rooftop

Kohima: A BSNL employee, attached with the North East Circle II, died after falling from a rooftop of a five-storied building in the Super Market area, near Nagarjan Police Point, of Dimapur town on Saturday.

Official sources said the victim was identified as one Venkatesh Warlu Malepally (23).

He hailed from Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh and was working as Junior Technical Officer in the BSNL, Dimapur.

Malepally was residing in an apartment of the building with some of friends. Dimapur Police in the preliminary investigation has found no foul play with him and suspected that he had committed suicide. However, the investigation was on to ascertain the cause of his death.(UNI)
