Shillong: The non-teaching staff of colleges under the banner of the Meghalaya College Non-Teaching Employees Association (MCNTEA) will hold a black flag day” on August 16 and 17 protesting the State government’s failure to fulfill their various demands including payment of arrears.

The decision to this effect was taken in an MCNTEA meeting held at Shillong College here on Wednesday.

The MCNTEA also decided to hold a “pen down strike” on August 18, 19 and 20. The Association would hold a rally on August 24 if the government fails to respond, the general secretary of MCNTEA G Wahlang told newsmen here on Wednesday.
