CHANDAULI (UP): Villagers of Rema in the district have gone all out to express solidarity with Anna Hazare’s movement, requesting the adminstration to change the name of their hamlet to ‘Anna’.

“If the people belonging to Anna’s village can follow him as a role model and can bring a change in Ralegan Siddhi why can’t we bring a change in our village,” Jai Prakash a resident of Rema, said.

Village head Renu Devi’s husband Bade Lal said they have given an application to the adminstration requesting that the name of their village be changed.

He said that each and every resident of the village has also decided to add the title “Anna” to their names.(PTI)
