GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday said that a formal ceasefire agreement will be signed with the proscribed ULFA by next month.

The ULFA, which has already submitted the first charter of demands to the Central government after initiating formal talks, has announced unilateral indefinite ceasefire.

Mr Gogoi said the agreement for Suspension of Operation (SoO) will be signed formally with the outfit soon.

On ULFA ‘general secretary’ Anup Chetia’s extradition from Bangladesh, the Chief Minister said the Centre has taken up the matter with the neighbouring country. (UNI)
